Support for Aila’s Head Unit with HD Optics
The SDK introduces support for Aila’s latest Head Unit with upgraded HD Optics, which includes the Head Unit for the iPad Air 13” (M2/M3/M4) and iPad Pro 13” (M4/M5), along with the Head Unit for the 11” iPad (Gen10/A16).
Introduces Camera Settings for 50Hz Environments
We’re introducing support for deployments in countries that operate on a 50Hz electrical mains. By default, the Aila SDK assumes a 60Hz environment. When cameras and lighting operate on different electrical frequencies, it can introduce vision anomalies, including false triggers and optical banding artifacts on captures. A new API allows developers to toggle the camera to match the local electrical environment, ensuring clean captures and a smooth workflow, regardless of where your deployment is located.
Introduces Beep Volume Control
Developers can now control the beep volume of Aila’s Head Unit when a barcode, MRZ, or image is captured. By default, the volume is set to match the behavior of prior-generation Interactive Kiosk products, providing a seamless transition for existing deployments while giving new deployments more control over the audio experience.
Bug Fixes and Improvements
Updated Aila Decoder Framework
We’ve identified and resolved a bug where scanning oversized barcodes on an iPad Gen 7 or older could cause timeouts within the decoder, improving reliability for customers with older devices still in fleet.
Updated Aila Framework
This build resolves an issue where the console would log spurious casting failure warnings, reducing noise in developer output during integration and testing.
