At the 2019 NRF Big Show, the world’s most innovative retailers came to the Javits Center in New York City in search of practical solutions to elevate in-store experiences, empower associates, blend digital and physical, and bring digital optimization to brick-and-mortar. Amidst this backdrop, Aila showcased a platform of products, technologies, and highly relevant solutions that deliver seamless digital capabilities. By combining proprietary scanning technology, optimized hardware design and the power of iOS-based devices, Aila’s sleek customer-facing touchpoints, employee handhelds, and innovative scanning products enable infinite opportunities for innovation in retail.

With experiences for shoppers and retail associates alike, Aila demonstrated turnkey solutions for core retail use cases, including interactive fitting rooms, product discovery, mPOS, self checkout, cart building for line busting and BOPIS/BORIS, ID verification and self check-in, and more—all powered by the effortless scanning of Aila’s TrueScan technology.

American Eagle: Interactive Fitting Room, powered by Aila

Aila was thrilled to partner with American Eagle for an NRF 2019 booth experience. Throughout the show, leaders from American Eagle’s in-store innovation team presented demos of the company’s new Interactive Fitting Room, powered by Aila’s Interactive Kiosk.

American Eagle’s innovative solution puts rich digital commerce capabilities at shoppers’ fingertips in the fitting room. It also delivers actionable data about consumer behavior, which can then be used to further enhance in-store experiences and optimize areas like associate productivity and stocking. This solution is live at American Eagle flagship locations in markets such as New York, Boston, Las Vegas and San Francisco.

Interactive Kiosk

With effortless scanning and a retail-ready design, Aila’s iPad-based Interactive Kiosk leverages the power and versatility of iOS to enrich everyday experiences, from point of entry to point of sale. At NRF, the Interactive Kiosk enabled standalone solutions like self checkout and ID verification, as well as integrated solutions that work in conjunction with mobile scanning solutions. 

Mobile Imager

Aila’s Mobile Imager is a powerful, ultra-lightweight scanning device that gives sales associates the flexibility to go from inventory to clienteling in seconds. At NRF, we showed how this sleek iPod-based handheld can be used for inventory, cart building, mPOS, and as part of the integrated solution in American Eagle’s Interactive Fitting Room and at point of sale.
