WeWork members use RFID-enabled keycards to access the company’s co-working spaces. This system works great for people who already have an access card. However, WeWork still needed a reliable, easy-to-use solution for logging visitors and guests into its facilities. Seeking an efficient and automated check-in process, WeWork collaborated with Aila Technologies to develop and deploy a front desk workflow for visitors.
Aila at WeWork: streamlined self-service check-in
Built around Aila’s Interactive Kiosk, WeWork created a simple iOS application that uses the Interactive Kiosk’s integrated TrueScan technology to capture visitor IDs (via the PDF 417 barcode on the back of driver’s licenses, in this case). Visitor information is then parsed for automated form completion. This solution enables WeWork to keep a detailed log of guests and visitors, while bypassing the need for manual data entry.
The result is a fast, easy-to-use, scalable guest check-in flow that frees up associates to manage more complex customer interactions.
